Hi, my name is Sharon Hill, founder of Unique Intelligence Tutoring. I have 8-9 years of experience working with a variety of grade levels ranging from Preschool to 7th grade, including students with special needs. Qualifications include a Tutor certificate from the "National Tutoring Association."

I taught for many years at several school districts, primarily in grade levels Preschool through 7-8th grade. The subjects taught were English Language Arts, Mathematics, Science and Social-Studies within the curriculum. Additionally, before teaching in the classroom setting, I evaluated and implemented Speech and Language activities. The one-on-one lessons were for students diagnosed with various communicative disorders, in the public school and private school sector.

As a tutor and former educator, I stay informed with educational and tutoring trends by participating in classes, viewing webinars, researching related topics and being a member of the "National Tutoring Association."

I measure each student using "individual diagnosis" assessments. During the initial tutoring session, I implement short diagnostic tests to assist with discovering their learning struggles and strengths. With this approach I am able to design an individualized tutoring plan created specifically for the student. This is also accomplished through observations and recording (written anecdotal notes) their learning skills during each session.
